A KUB CT (Kidney, Ureter, Bladder CT) is a non-contrast computed tomography scan that provides highly detailed images of the entire urinary tract. It is the most sensitive and accurate test for detecting kidney stones, ureteric stones, and other urinary tract abnormalities. It is routinely preferred over ultrasound when stones are suspected or when ultrasound findings are inconclusive. The scan is fast and requires no contrast injection in most cases.
Key benefits of this package include:
Kidney stones (renal calculi) of all sizes and densities
Ureteric stones (including mid-ureter stones missed on ultrasound)
Bladder stones
Hydronephrosis and hydro-ureter
Perinephric stranding or abscess
Renal masses or cysts
Bladder wall abnormalities
Anatomical variants or congenital anomalies
