Virtual Colonoscopy — About the Test

Virtual Colonoscopy (CT Colonography) uses CT scanning and air insufflation to create 3D images of the entire colon and rectum. It is a minimally invasive alternative to traditional optical colonoscopy for screening colorectal cancer, polyps, and diverticular disease. No sedation is required, and the procedure is quicker with lower risk of perforation.
