Medall to strengthen presence in South India; eyes to open 300-400 centres in 2022

Medall continues to deepen its footprint across South India with a clear focus on bringing accredited diagnostic services closer to where patients live and work. The expansion roadmap includes hundreds of new collection and partner centres to improve access without compromising quality.

Electrocardiography (ECG or EKG) remains one of the most important first-line tools for evaluating heart rhythm and electrical conduction. During an ECG, electrodes placed on the chest wall and limbs record the heart's electrical signals, helping clinicians detect arrhythmias, ischemia, and structural clues that may need follow-up care.

For patients, this means routine cardiac screening and pre-operative checks can be completed at convenient locations with reports shared digitally to treating physicians. Quality assurance and training remain central as volume grows.

As Medall scales its network, patients can expect the same emphasis on standardised processes, digital reporting, and trained phlebotomists, whether they visit a flagship centre or a neighbourhood collection point.
